Why should I choose a candle made of soy and how is it safe for the environment?
There are many reasons to choose Massagewicks soy candles over regular parrafin:
* No carcinogens are produced from burning soy candles
* Does not emit toxins while burning
* Little or no soot is produced from burning soy candles
* Soy wax is biodegradable
* Soy wax is water soluble and cleans up easily
* Burns cooler and therefore, slower
* Soy Wax is a renewable resource
* Supports economic growth and US farmers
* Soy candles will not discolor your walls or furniture with petroleum byproducts
* Soy candles burn 30% to 50% longer than paraffin
* Soy wax candles hold scent better than paraffin

You say I can pour this directly on my skin, won't that hurt?
Absolutely not, soy wax candles melt at just a few degrees higher than your body temperature, so when you pour it on your skin, you will feel a warm sensation, not a burning or painful one, just as long as you remembered to blow out the flame first!!

Who should not use a Massagewicks candle?
Because Massagewicks contains ingredients which have the possibility of affecting people with nut allergies and latex allergies, we strongly advise that you think twice before ordering. If you do have these allergies and these ingredients have not affected you in the past, please do a skin patch test before using on a large area of your body. I myself have a latex allergy, but I have never had an incident with any of the product I have produced.

What are the ingredients of a Massagewicks candle?
Each candle is made of cosmetic grade Soy Wax (which contains vitamin E), Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Apricot Oil. If you ordered a scented candle, then it also includes a skin safe amount of fragrance or essential oil. All ingredients have been FDA approved for use on the body, but you may want to keep away from the face and eyes. There are never any dyes used in our candles.

What is your refund policy?
At this time we do not offer refunds, so please be sure the scent you are ordering is what you want. If it was not what you were expecting and you have not used it, it might make a great gift for a loved one, a friend, a teacher or even just someone who did you a small kindness you'd like to repay!! If your product is damaged in shipping, just let us know immediately upon receiving it and we will be glad to replace it with the same item.

What is the burn time of a Massagewicks Candle and how many massages can I get from one?
How you use your candle will determine your burn time. If you scoop it out "dry", of course you will have less burn time than if you only use it "wet". Each one should last approximately 30 hours. The number of massages will vary as well depending on use and how much you use per massage; just remember a little goes a long way!!.

How do I use a Massagewicks candle?
For detailed instructions please see our How to use page. Basically all you have to do is light it, let it burn for about 20 minutes, blow out the flame and rub the oil onto the desired body part of the desired person.

I have seen other massage candles in fancy containers with a pour spout, why don't you use those instead of tins?
We experimented with those, and while the pour spout worked just great and was a nice feature, it often came on a container that was bigger and heavier even though it held the same amount as a tin. That would mean increased shipping cost and not having the convenience of throwing it in a purse, gym bag or suitcase. By using the tins, they are lighter weight, easy to get your fingers in, you can put a lid on them and they will not break if you decide to carry it around with you. Our goal at Massagewicks is for your skin to have an experience that you do not have to pay "extra" for because of the "pretty" packaging.

What else should I know about using a Massagewicks candle?
One word of advice for those of you with children. It might be a good idea to NEVER let them see you pour the oil onto your skin or stick your fingers in it. They may think that you can do that with ANY candle, and we definitely would not want them to try that with a paraffin candle would we?
